It is a small village in the kecamatan of Tambusai, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu in the Province of Riau, Sumatra. During the Padri Wars of 1830's , Tuanku Tambusai (aka known as Fakeh Hj Muhammad Salleh ) fought the Dutch forces together with Imam Bonjol and Tuanku Rao in West Sumatra and in Northern Sumatra .The last defence was in Benteng 7 Lapis,Daludalu which fell in 1838. He escaped capture and came to Malaya. He was buried in Rasah in 1882.

Leave of Absence for an indefinite period
My apologies to friends and acquaintances who had been following my blog for a long absence. I am now on leave of absence from blogosphere due to my God-given commitment and duty of caring for my infirmed father who is in his early nineties. Since I have no access to my broadband in my present location, so I regret very much for this temporary embargo on my blog. God-Willing, I shall be back when time permits. Kind Regards.

I sincerely wish and pray that your father will be well enough to be easily looked after by you and the family. I admire your love an dedication. I did not go through this as I was away during the last years of his illness. I know how hard it was for my mother who, later, passed away in Mecca, also without my presence.

Comes a time in life when one is faced with choices. You have the opportunity to do so for someone so dear. Pray Allah the Almighty gives you strength to overcome!
Are you taking care of your dad at home or at the hospital, Akhi Halim? If at the hospital, it must be quite boring without internet facilities. Maybe you need an IPad or an IPhone whcich provides internet service like a computer. Do you need one? I will try to get you one if you really need it. Meanwhile I feel a great loss without your blog updates and comments.

I am deeply touched by all your kind thoughts and well-wishes.
I am helping out at my sister's house to care for my ailing and ageing father since the maid bolted last early December. I pray that all your good wishes are granted by ALLAH as I need the strength and good health to do what I have to do.
As for Akhi Norzah's offer, I am not very adept in using such gadgets and I am more at ease with my laptop. But I cannot use streamyx in Paroi since I do not have the connection there. A very big thank you, Akhi, keep the raincheck.
