Post GE 13

It is all over
The result is loud and clear
Change is what they want

For now close all rank
We must accept the outcome
Nation must survive

Winners must not gloat
Losers must be gentlemen
Harmony prevail

Dear Hal,
I'm all for national integration at any cost. The alternative if not harnessed immediately will be far worst than the pre-election scenario.

Given political maturity honed for over half a century, I'm sure DSNajib should be able to take a leaf off from his father's book in creating the Barisan. And given the pre-election experience and a failed mission of the opposition, it won't be easy!

Dear Hank,
Now is the time to heal the wounds of the election. The victors must be magnanimous and the losers must not be bitter. Good intentions must be borne by actions and no amount of slogans can a substitute to fairplay and justice.National integration is not just a buzzword, the PM must be earnest and seen to put it into practice for posterity and not just for winning votes. The nation must work towards reconciliation and not polarisation.

It is May 1969 all over again when Tun Razak and Asri found it imperative to close ranks. But there was no money in politics those days.

Dear Pak Cik,
Let politicians debate their future, but people from all races, and walks of life must close ranks and not increase the gap between them.
