It is a small village in the kecamatan of Tambusai, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu in the Province of Riau, Sumatra. During the Padri Wars of 1830's , Tuanku Tambusai (aka known as Fakeh Hj Muhammad Salleh ) fought the Dutch forces together with Imam Bonjol and Tuanku Rao in West Sumatra and in Northern Sumatra .The last defence was in Benteng 7 Lapis,Daludalu which fell in 1838. He escaped capture and came to Malaya. He was buried in Rasah in 1882.

The Passing Away of the Good Samaritan
On Sunday 03 January 2010 I received the sad news that Yakob Scholer had passed away at 1542 hrs local Malaysian time and approximately 0842 hrs in Germany. Innalillahi Wainnailaihi Rojiun. By sheer coincidence an article on him appeared in the Starmag of the daily newspaper, The Sunday Star on page 7 of the Starmag. It was something like an obituary on him. Al- Fatehah and May ALLAH S.W.T. place his soul amongst the pious.

Indeed ALLAH S.W.T. Knows better and when he departed on that Sunday 13 December, he bade us the last farewell in typical Malay, " Selamat Tinggal". To recap it made me teary-eyed. May ALLAH Bless His soul.
