GE 13
A deluge of flags
All along the divider
Festive mood in air
Promises abound
Slogans and manifesto
To draw the voters
We shall cast our vote
According to our choice
To rule for five years
I will be staying up tomorrow night for the excitement. I think older generation like us have different value from our 'hot-blooded' children. We will see it all. The fight in my area is fantastic. A glimpse of that is in my latest entry.
Dear Hal, It'll be on tomorrow after all the waiting. I hope there are no surprises or fallen hopes for some parties. If there are I hope there'll be no violence that might follow! The immaturity relating to the intricacies of universal suffrage is so apparent with lies, insults and violence that it just puts the country back so many years. Great haiku. Simple language is very appropriate!
Dear Hank, The results speak for the electorate. My observation is that people are still easily bought. The amount of money being poured is enormous and if the trend continues, only those with money will be returned and claim the will of the majority. Maybe once all are pretty rich, then their votes cannot be bought.
Hello Abdul Halimshah, I guess the past month Malaysia one of the main causes of global warming, with lots of hot air floating around.... This happens every time there's an election, anywhere in the world. Few months back was US.
Read your interesting profile....you when the Japanese surrendered, me in Malacca, when they arrived, on bicycles! And frightening the daylights out of everyone with their display of separating heads from shoulders sini sana. Love your lively humour. You keep well and have a nice day. Best regards. Lee.
Dear Uncle Lee, Many thanks for your comment. Indeed the heat is now released with the election being over. Now the new government have to fulfill all the promises they made. Have a good day.
